Name: Philodendron Florida Bronze
Etymology: “Florida Bronze” is the trade name of this Philodendron hybrid and refers to the bronze tint of the young foliage.
Location/Growing Conditions: We recommend warm conditions of approximately 19–28 °C, bright indirect light, moderate to high humidity, and good air circulation. A coarse, structurally stable aroid substrate made of bark, mineral components, and a humus content ensures air reaches the roots. Water as soon as the top layer of the substrate has slightly dried out; avoid waterlogging.
Description and Notes: Philodendron Florida Bronze is a climbing hybrid with deeply lobed leaves. New leaves emerge in warm bronze to copper tones and change to dark red-green or green as they mature. A climbing aid or moss pole supports larger, more deeply divided leaves. The most intense coloration occurs with plenty of filtered light without direct midday sun.
