etymology: baudoense = after the place where it was found in the Serrania de Baudo, a mountain range in the Choco District.

Origin: Colombia, Ecuador
Location:
hemiepiphytic and terrestrial in tropical rainforest, in open forests along the Pacific Andes in partially shaded locations from sea level to 1000 m, often also on steep, wet roadsides.
Remarks:
The leaves have long, grey-green internodes that dry with a very scaly, light-coloured epidermis and 2 sharply ribbed, deciduous leaflets. The leaf blades are usually elliptic to obovate, tapering to a narrow, inferior base with a midrib that is much wider at the base and tapers towards the tip. The primary lateral veins are characterised by being widely spaced and rapidly bending upwards.
