Product information "Orchi-Mix fine NEW"

is our new orchid substrate specially developed for young plants and can be used for most orchid species and hybrids. Many of the terrestrial orchids and humus epiphytes can also be successfully cultivated in Orchi-Mix fine.
It consists of pine bark with a grain size of 5-15mm, the finely chopped foam was replaced by a coarser bark because it was not compostable. This maintains ventilation and the substrate is 100% compostable.
Other additives such as perlite, pumice, vermiculite can be added, but this is not absolutely necessary. The substrate is unfertilized and adjusted to a pH value of 5.5.
This substrate was specially developed for the needs of young plants and all orchids of the sectionPleurothallidinaeHowMasdevallia,Dracula,Pleurothallis,Porroglossumand all related species.
Orchi-Mix fine can be stored dry and in an open bag for several years, but it should be moistened before repotting. After long storage, bark and moss need some time to absorb moisture again.
