Product information "Orchi-Mix"

Orchi-Mix is ​​our own orchid substrate and is an optimal mix for all tropical orchids. Most terrestrial orchids and humus epiphytes also feel very comfortable in our Orchi-Mix.
It consists of medium-hard pine bark with a grain size of 20-30 mm and sphagnum as the most important additive. Other additives such as perlite, pumice and vermiculite can be added, but are not necessary. With normal cultivation, the substrate lasts for 2 years, after which the plants should be replanted at the latest. The substrate is unfertilized and adjusted to a pH value of 5.5.
Orchi-Mix can be stored dry and in an open bag for several years, but it should be moistened before repotting. After long storage, bark and moss need some time to absorb moisture again.
