Name: Lepanthes myiophora × Lepanthes telipogoniflora

Etymology: The genus name Lepanthes is derived from the Greek lepis ("scale") and anthos ("flower"). myiophora means "carrying flies" in a figurative sense, and telipogoniflora refers to the similarity of the flowers to the genus Telipogon.

First description: This is a cross between Lepanthes myiophora and Lepanthes telipogoniflora.

Origin / Breeding: A cultivated hybrid of two small-growing species of the genus Lepanthes. Ecuagenera describes it as an intermediate-growing hybrid.

Description & Care: Small hybrid orchid with striking star-shaped flowers and densely hairy floral structures. With us, it grows in bright indirect to shaded conditions, with high humidity, good air circulation, and consistent moisture. We cultivate it at approximately 12–22 °C.
