Description

Lths. gargoyla x horrida

Name: Lepanthes gargoyla × Lepanthes horrida

Parents: Lepanthes gargoyla × Lepanthes horrida

Location/growing conditions: Grow in shade to partial shade, with high humidity and gentle, constant air movement. Fine sphagnum or a very fine, airy, moisture-retentive medium is well suited. Never allow the roots to dry out completely. Intermediate temperatures of around 15–24 °C are suitable; avoid prolonged high heat.

Description and notes: This hybrid, which is not designated as a separate grex, remains compact and can produce numerous small, highly detailed flowers close to the leaf. Depending on the light, the flowers display varying warm hues and the complex lip structure typical of Lepanthes. Consistent moisture and stable growing conditions promote continuous growth.
