Product information "Wooden basket ser. 4 - 175"
Wooden baskets are a very decorative planter for orchids. The root area of the plants is well ventilated. The harder the wood, the longer its durability. Orchids such as Aerides, Ascocenda, Vanda, Rhychnostylis and their numerous hybrids can be kept in the wooden baskets without substrate or with a few coarse pieces of bark, practically substrate-free.
Orchids such as Stanhopea, Gongora, Acineta, Dracula and many more have hanging or downward-growing panicles and should be kept in the baskets with substrate as they require more water. Our Orchi-Mix (please place a grid in the bottom if necessary) or sphagnum moss are suitable for this.
Brassavola, Bulbophyllum, Cattleya, Coelogyne and many Dendrobium also love wooden baskets due to the good ventilation, and once established, they look very attractive even when not in bloom.
