Cattleya maxima (2326 x yellow lip)

Name: Cattleya maxima ‘2326’ × ‘Yellow Lip’

Parents: Two selected clones of Cattleya maxima; it is an interspecific hybrid.

Origin/Distribution: The species is distributed in western South America, especially in Ecuador and Peru.

Location/Growing conditions: We cultivate the seedlings intermediately to warm at about 18–28 °C, very bright and with good air movement. The coarse orchid substrate is watered regularly during growth and may then dry out well.

Description and notes: The parent clone ‘Yellow Lip’ was selected because of its distinctly yellow lip. In the seedlings, the intensity and extent of the yellow tone as well as the flower shape and other markings may vary.
