Name: Brassada Senne Feast × Mivada
Synonym: Brassia Senne Feast × Mivada
Trade name: Spider orchid
Breeder: Röllke Orchideen
RHS registration: not registered
Description & notes: An interesting Brassia relative with star-shaped yellow-orange flowers. Based on the parent plants, we expect vigorous, upright growth and the narrow flower segments typical of this group. We grow the young plants in bright to partial shade, in intermediate to warm conditions, with good air movement and consistent moisture during active growth.
In vitro culture: You will receive a flask containing 4 young plants. The plants are usually already large enough to be removed from the flask. After opening it, carefully remove the nutrient medium with lukewarm water and pot the young plants in a fine, airy orchid substrate, keeping it evenly slightly moist but never wet. For the first few weeks, we recommend high humidity, temperatures of around 20–25 °C, good air movement, and bright, sheltered light; after that, the plants can be gradually acclimated to normal growing conditions.
