Name: Anthurium Titanium
Parents: Anthurium besseae aff. × Anthurium nigrolaminum
Cultivation: Hybrid by Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail"). Titanium is the horticultural name of this hybrid.
Location/Growing Conditions: We grow the hybrid in intermediate to warm conditions at around 18–27 °C, with high humidity, good air circulation, and bright, indirect light. We keep the coarse, humus-rich, and airy aroid substrate evenly slightly moist.
Description and Notes: Anthurium Titanium combines two attractive dark-leaved anthuriums. Depending on the seedling, leaf proportions, surface texture, venation, and coloration may vary in how strongly they resemble the parents. As the plant matures, its characteristic features become more pronounced.
