Description

Anthurium polyschistum 'No. 3'

Name: Anthurium polyschistum R.E.Schult. & Idrobo ‘No. 3’

Etymology: polyschistum means “multiply divided” and refers to the highly divided leaf blade. ‘No. 3’ designates the selected cultivar.

Origin/Distribution: Tropical South America.

Habitat/Environment: Terrestrial to climbing in warm, humid forests. We cultivate the species at approximately 20–28 °C, with high humidity and good air circulation.

Description and Notes: The species has numerous narrow leaf segments, giving it a particularly delicate appearance. ‘No. 3’ is cultivated as a selected form. A loose, humus-rich substrate and consistent moisture are ideal.
