Etymology: The specific epithet marmoratum means “marbled” or “spotted” and refers to the leaf patterning. ‘No. 2’ identifies the selection offered.

Origin/Distribution: Colombia and Ecuador.

Location/Habitat: Terrestrial to hemiepiphytic in humid tropical forests, at elevations of approximately 500–1,500 m above sea level. We recommend temperate to warm conditions of around 18–27 °C, high humidity, good air circulation, and bright, filtered light.

Description and Notes: The species develops large, elongated, heart-shaped, dark green leaves with marbled-looking patterning and prominent venation. A sturdy moss pole supports its hemiepiphytic growth. Keep a coarse, humus-rich aroid mix evenly and slightly moist, but avoid waterlogging. ‘No. 2’ is a horticulturally selected form; leaf proportions and patterning may change as it matures.
