Description

Anthurium lentii S

Name: Anthurium lentii Croat & R.A.Baker

Etymology: lentii honors the plant collector Roy Lent.

First described: 1979 by Thomas B. Croat and R.A. Baker.

Origin/Distribution: Costa Rica and Panama into northwestern South America.

Location/Habitat: We cultivate the seedlings in intermediate to warm conditions at approximately 17–26 °C, with high humidity and good air circulation in a coarse, humus-rich substrate.

Description and Notes: The species develops elongated, firm leaves with prominent midribs and a slightly wavy texture. In seedlings, leaf proportions and venation change as they mature.
