Name: Anthurium Yasuni Heart
Parents: Anthurium magnificum × Anthurium moronense
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail"). Yasuni Heart is the horticultural name for this hybrid, referring to the decorative, heart-shaped appearance of its leaves.
Location/Cultivation conditions: We grow this hybrid in bright to partial shade at approximately 18–27 °C, with high humidity and good air circulation. The substrate should be coarse, rich in humus, very well-aerated, and kept consistently slightly moist. We avoid direct, intense midday sun and waterlogging.
Description and notes: Anthurium Yasuni Heart develops large, attractive leaves with a velvety texture and light-colored veining. Anthurium magnificum contributes the striking leaf pattern and robust leaf size, while Anthurium moronense can influence growth and leaf shape. As this is a seedling hybrid, variations between individual plants are normal.
