Name: Anthurium (villenaorum × recavum)
Parents: Anthurium villenaorum × Anthurium recavum
Cultivation: Hybrid by Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek words anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail").
Location/Growing Conditions: We grow this hybrid in bright to partial shade at approximately 18–27°C, with high humidity and good air circulation. The growing medium should be coarse, humus-rich, and highly porous, remaining evenly moist but not wet. A climbing support helps promote the development of larger leaves.
Description and Notes: This hybrid combines the velvety leaf surface and attractive venation of Anthurium villenaorum with the compact, robust growth habit of Anthurium recavum. The contrasting leaf markings may become more pronounced as the plant matures. As the plants are hybrids, variations in leaf size, shape, and markings are to be expected.
