Name: Anthurium Axiom
Parents: Anthurium villenaorum × Anthurium magnificum
Breeding: Hybrid bred by Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium derives from the Greek words anthos (“flower”) and oura (“tail”), referring to its characteristic spadix. Axiom is the horticultural name of this cross.
Location/Growing Conditions: We grow this hybrid in bright to partially shaded conditions at around 18–27 °C, with high humidity and good air circulation. We keep a coarse, airy aroid mix evenly slightly moist, while avoiding waterlogging. Bright, indirect light supports strong leaf markings.
Description and Notes: Anthurium Axiom combines the elegant growth habit of Anthurium villenaorum with the striking, velvety leaves and contrasting venation of Anthurium magnificum. Leaf shape, venation, and coloration may vary among seed-grown plants.
