Name: Anthurium Sweet Mystery
Parents: Anthurium forgetii × Anthurium pallidiflorum
Cultivation: Hybrid by Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail"). Sweet Mystery is the horticultural name of this hybrid.
Location/Cultivation Conditions: We grow the hybrid warm at around 20–28 °C, with high humidity, good air circulation, and bright, indirect light. A coarse, airy, and slightly moisture-retaining aroid substrate is ideal.
Description and Notes: Anthurium Sweet Mystery combines the rounded, often sinuseless leaf shape of Anthurium forgetii with the long, velvety-looking, pendulous leaves of Anthurium pallidiflorum. Seedlings can develop different intermediate forms and vary in leaf length, shape, and venation.
