Description

Aglaonema commutatum 'White Joy'

Name: Aglaonema commutatum ‘White Joy’

Etymology: commutatum means “altered” or “deviating.” ‘White Joy’ refers to the strikingly bright leaf variegation.

Origin: The species is native to tropical Southeast Asia; ‘White Joy’ is a cultivated selection.

Location/Growing Conditions: We grow the plant in warm conditions at around 20–29°C, with moderate to high humidity and bright, indirect light. The loose, humus-rich substrate should remain slightly moist and drain well.

Description and Notes: ‘White Joy’ is a compact foliage plant with large creamy-white to white areas and green variegation. Bright, diffused light supports clear variegation; we avoid direct midday sun.
