Origin: northern South America
Location: hemiepiphytic climbing plant in tropical rainforests, in open forests on both sides of the Andes and in the Amazon basin in partially shaded locations with high humidity from sea level to 2000 m.
Remarks: The young leaves have a distinctive, attractive green-grey pattern that diminishes with age. Very stable, pronounced leaf veins then form on the underside of the leaves, giving the large leaves stability.
