Description

Philodendron Ivan Portilla

Name: Philodendron Ivan Portilla

Parents: Philodendron patriciae × Philodendron ruizii

Etymology: The name honors Jorge Ivan Portilla of Ecuagenera.

Breeding: Hybrid from Ecuagenera.

Location/Cultivation conditions: We grow this hybrid in warm conditions at approximately 20–28 °C, high humidity, good air circulation, and bright, indirect light. A coarse, airy aroid substrate and a climbing support or stake promote vigorous growth.

Description and notes: Philodendron Ivan Portilla combines the long, elegantly pendulous leaves of Philodendron patriciae with the robust foliage of Philodendron ruizii. The green leaves appear slender and elegant; as a seedling hybrid, the proportions can vary.
