wenzelii = bach Wenzel, an orchid collector in the Philippines, first half of the 19th century.

Location:
The type of this species was found in the southeastern part of the island of Luzon near Sagnaa in the province of South Camarines. These orchids grow on trees on forested slopes at an altitude of 300 m above sea level. Later, the plants were also found in the north of the island of Luzon near Balbalan in the provinces of Kalinga and Apayao and on the island of Leyte near Jaro at altitudes of 500-700 m.
Remarks:
hard, leathery foliage, also offered as Dendrochilum javieri yellow. Can already flower in the size offered
