Location: epiphytic at altitudes of 100 to 800 meters in primary rainforests on the lower trunks of large trees
Remarks: large flowers, the lightening on the top petal (dorsal sepalum) is interesting. These lightenings act as a window for insects that have strayed into the flower, giving them the illusion of a way out, and this is how the flower can be pollinated in nature.
