Schomburgkia splendida

Name: Schomburgkia splendida

Location/Habitat: Large epiphytic orchid for bright, warm, and seasonally dry locations. Grow in very bright to sunny conditions with strong air circulation. Coarse bark, mineral substrate, or mounted cultivation are well suited. Water abundantly during growth; keep significantly drier after the pseudobulbs have matured. Approximately 19–31 °C is suitable.

Description and Notes: Schomburgkia splendida forms robust pseudobulbs and long, branched inflorescences with numerous striking flowers. Mature plants require plenty of space and a stable setup. A high amount of light is essential for compact growth and reliable flowering.
