Description

Sarcochilus Kulnura Sweetie Purple Spot

Name: Sarcochilus Kulnura Sweetie ‘Purple Spot’

Parents: Sarcochilus Cherie Snow × Sarcochilus Glowing Embers

Registration: Grex registered with the RHS; registered in 2008 by Barrita, originator S. Barrie.

Location/Growing conditions: We grow the plant in bright light but out of intense midday sun, at around 15–25 °C, with high humidity and good air circulation. We keep the fine, airy orchid mix evenly slightly moist, while avoiding roots that remain wet.

Description and notes: ‘Purple Spot’ is a selected form of Sarcochilus Kulnura Sweetie. The grex is known for compact plants and attractive, often contrastingly patterned flowers. The clone name ‘Purple Spot’ refers to the characteristic violet-purple markings on the flowers.
