Location/Culture: Grow in bright to very bright conditions with good air movement. A coarse bark substrate ensures rapid water drainage. Water regularly during new growth and fertilize moderately; allow to almost dry out between waterings. Temperatures around 18–28 °C with cooler nights are suitable.

Description and notes: ‘Southern Cross’ is a select plant of the grex Rhyncholaeliocattleya George King. It is known for large, soft yellowish to pastel-colored flowers and a distinctively colored lip. Good light exposure and fully matured growths promote reliable flowering.
