Name: Phragmipedium Wayne Riggs

Parents: Phragmipedium boissierianum × Phragmipedium kovachii

Registration: Registered with the RHS by Ecuagenera on August 21, 2024; Ecuagenera is also listed as the originator.

Location/Growing conditions: Bright, filtered light, high humidity, and good air circulation. Grow under intermediate conditions at about 14–25 °C, with a slight drop in temperature at night. Use an airy yet moisture-retentive medium and keep the roots evenly moist; do not allow Phragmipedium to dry out completely.

Description and notes: This primary hybrid combines the longer, often twisted petals of Phragmipedium boissierianum with the large flowers and intense pink to magenta coloration of Phragmipedium kovachii. Seedlings may vary in hue, petal form, and flower size.
