Name: Phragmipedium Mini Grande
Parents: Phragmipedium humboldtii × Phragmipedium pearcei
Registration: Registered in 2001 by Carson Barnes in the RHS International Orchid Register.
Location/Cultivation Conditions: Grow in bright to partial shade with high humidity and good air circulation. A fine to medium, airy potting mix should be kept evenly moist; do not allow Phragmipedium roots to dry out completely. Intermediate temperatures of around 15–25 °C with cooler nights are favorable.
Description and Notes: This primary hybrid combines the long-petaled appearance of Phragmipedium humboldtii with the more compact growth and narrower flowers of Phragmipedium pearcei. The plant is like a smaller, more manageable version of Phragmipedium Grande and can produce several flowers sequentially on one stem.
