Name: Phragmipedium Hanne Popow

Etymology: The genus name Phragmipedium is derived from the Greek phragma ("partition, screen") and pedion ("shoe"). The grex name Hanne Popow is a personal name.

Registration: The primary hybrid was registered by H. Doll with the Royal Horticultural Society in 1991.

Origin / Breeding: A cross between Phragmipedium besseae × Phragmipedium schlimii.

Description & Care: Compact Phragmipedium hybrid with pink to light pink flowers; the pouch and flower shape combine features of both parents. We keep it evenly moist, with good air circulation and bright, indirect light. The substrate must not dry out. We cultivate it at approximately 15–27 °C.
