Name: Phragmipedium Carlos Fighetti

Parents: Phragmipedium caudatum × Phragmipedium Fritz Homburg

Registration: Grex registered with the RHS; registered in 2011 by H. P. Norton.

Location/Growing conditions: We grow the hybrid under intermediate conditions at around 16–25 °C, in bright to partial shade, with high humidity and good air circulation. We keep the airy yet moisture-retentive substrate evenly moist and do not allow the roots to dry out completely.

Description and notes: Phragmipedium Carlos Fighetti combines the long-petalled influence of Phragmipedium caudatum with Phragmipedium Fritz Homburg. This can result in large, striking flowers with elongated petals and vivid coloration. Seedlings may vary in form and color.
