Notes:
Phragm. Cardinale is one of the oldest known hybrids. This cross dates back to a time when seeds were sown on material (soil or branches) brought directly from the habitat. Asymbiotic sowing was still unknown at the time. Hybrid registration did not begin until the early 20th century, when the SANDERS List prevailed over Rolfe’s list. As a result, this hybrid has five different names today:
