Description & Notes:
Phalaenopsis Mini Mark is an extremely popular and charming miniature hybrid worldwide. It forms compact, distichous rosettes of glossy, fleshy, oval-lanceolate leaves. Its richly branched inflorescences produce numerous small, waxy flowers (approx. 3–4 cm). The petals have a creamy white base color covered with a dense, fine pattern of orange to fiery red spots, contrasted by an intensely orange-brown to reddish lip.
In cultivation, thanks to its hybrid vigor, the plant proves very robust and floriferous. It needs a partially shaded to bright location without direct midday sun. A fine- to medium-grade pine bark mix or sphagnum moss is suitable as a growing medium. The medium should be kept evenly moist, but must be allowed to dry out before the next watering, as the fleshy roots are sensitive to prolonged waterlogging.
Location/Growing conditions: Warm to intermediate temperatures of around 18–28 °C, bright indirect light, and good air circulation. Grow in fine- to medium-grade bark and allow it to dry slightly between waterings.
