Name: Paphiopedilum White Lady
Parents: Paphiopedilum White Knight × Paphiopedilum Ice Age
Etymology: The genus name Paphiopedilum is derived from the Greek Paphia and pedilon ("shoe") and refers to the characteristic shoe-shaped lip. White Lady is the grex name of this light-flowered hybrid.
Location/Cultivation Conditions: We cultivate this hybrid in bright to slightly shaded conditions at intermediate to warm temperatures of approximately 18–25 °C, with good air circulation and consistent humidity. The fine, airy substrate should never dry out completely, while at the same time we avoid waterlogging.
Description and Notes: Paphiopedilum White Lady grows compactly to medium-sized and forms the fan-shaped leaf rosettes typical of Paphiopedilum. The large, predominantly light flowers have a clearly pronounced shoe-shaped lip. In seedling plants, flower shape, size, and markings may vary slightly.
