Description

Masdevallia princeps

Name: Masdevallia princeps

Location/Cultural conditions: We grow this Masdevallia in cool to intermediate conditions at around 12–22 °C, with high to very high humidity, bright filtered light, and continuous gentle air movement. We keep the fine, airy, moisture-retentive medium evenly slightly moist and do not allow the delicate roots to dry out completely.

Description and notes: Masdevallia princeps produces large, striking flowers with vivid coloration and long sepal tips. The species particularly benefits from cool nights and consistent moisture.
