Macroclinium dalstromii

Name: Macroclinium dalstroemii

Location/growing conditions: We grow this miniature orchid intermediately at around 16–24 °C, with high humidity, bright filtered light and gentle, continuous air movement. We keep the fine roots evenly lightly moist in a very airy, moisture-retaining substrate.

Description and notes: Macroclinium dalstroemii remains compact and produces delicate, unusual inflorescences. Due to the fine roots, we avoid complete drying out as well as permanently wet, compacted substrate. The species is particularly well suited for a display case or a temperate greenhouse.
