Description

Rhyncattleanthe Machalena (reg.)

Name: Rhyncattleanthe Machalena

Location/Cultural conditions: We grow this hybrid in intermediate to warm conditions at approximately 18–28 °C, very bright, with good air circulation and protection from intense midday sun. During the growth phase, we water generously; the coarse, airy orchid substrate should be allowed to dry out well afterwards.

Description and notes: Rhyncattleanthe Machalena belongs to the large-flowered Cattleya alliance. With seedlings, color, lip markings, and flower shape can vary. Once the new pseudobulbs have matured, we reduce watering slightly without letting the plant dry out completely for long periods.
