Description

Laeliocattleya El Ranchito

Name: Laeliocattleya El Ranchito

Parents: Laelia splendida × Cattleya trianae

Location/Cultivation conditions: Cultivate in a very bright and airy environment. Coarse orchid bark and a pot with reliable drainage meet the needs of the vigorous, epiphytic roots. Water thoroughly and fertilize lightly during growth, then allow to dry out well. Temperatures of approximately 18–29 °C with a nighttime drop are favorable.

Description and notes: This hybrid combines the tall, vigorous growth of Laelia splendida with the large, elegant flowers of Cattleya trianae. Robust pseudobulbs and striking flowers with a prominent lip are to be expected; seedlings may vary in color and shape. High light is essential for compact growth and reliable flowering.
