Description

Den. (Gaëtan Minet x cuthbertsonii) 'Gualaceo'

Name: Dendrobium (Gaëtan Minet × cuthbertsonii) 'Gualaceo'

Etymology: The genus name Dendrobium is derived from the Greek dendron ("tree") and bios ("life"). "Gaëtan Minet" is a registered grex name; "Gualaceo" denotes the selected cultivar.

Origin / Breeding: Hybrid of Dendrobium Gaëtan Minet × D. cuthbertsonii. D. Gaëtan Minet is a cross of D. aphanochilum × D. cuthbertsonii and was registered by Ecuagenera in 2019.

Description & Advice: A compact Dendrobium hybrid, strongly influenced by D. cuthbertsonii, with striking flowers. We cultivate it in bright to lightly shaded conditions with high humidity, good air circulation, and consistent moisture. We keep it cool to intermediate, at approximately 12–22 °C.
