Etymology: The genus name Coelogyne is derived from Greek and refers to the recessed stigma; triplicatula refers to threefold segmented or folded floral structures.

Origin/Distribution: Southeast Asia.

Location/Habitat: We cultivate the species in intermediate to warm conditions at around 15–27 °C, with high humidity, bright filtered light, and good air circulation. During active growth, we water regularly.

Description and Notes: The species produces pseudobulbs with folded leaves and multi-flowered inflorescences. The flowers have a striking textured lip. A medium, loose, and well-draining orchid substrate with slight moisture retention is well suited.
