Description

Cattleya trianae splash #148

Name: Cattleya trianae splash ‘#148’

Origin/Distribution: Cultivated color selection of the Colombian species Cattleya trianae.

Location/Habitat: Cultivate in a bright to very bright and airy location in coarse, rapidly draining bark. Water regularly during growth; keep slightly drier after the pseudobulbs have matured. Approximately 16–27 °C with cooler nights is favorable.

Description and Notes: ‘#148’ is a splash selection with colored stripes or patches on the petals and an intensely patterned lip. The large, often fragrant flowers usually appear in winter. Plenty of light without overheating promotes clear markings and sturdy shoots.
