Description

Cattleya trianae splash #133 x Sangre de Toro ‘Camila’

Name: Cattleya trianae ‘Splash #133’ × ‘Sangre de Toro Camila’

Parents: Two selected clones of Cattleya trianae; this is an intraspecific cross.

Location/Growing conditions: We grow the seedlings in intermediate to warm conditions at around 17–27 °C, in very bright light with good air circulation. During growth, we water regularly; the coarse orchid mix should then be allowed to dry out well.

Description and notes: This cross combines a Splash selection with the richly colored clone ‘Sangre de Toro Camila’. Seedlings may vary considerably in base color, lip markings, and splash pattern. Once the pseudobulbs have matured, we reduce watering and fertilizing somewhat.
