Cattleya Miss Endicott

Name: Cattleya Miss Endicott

Parents: Cattleya loddigesii × Cattleya maxima

Registration: RHS registered grex; registered in 1897 by Chamberlain.

Location/growing conditions: We grow the hybrid in intermediate to warm conditions at around 17–27°C, in very bright conditions with good air circulation. During active growth, we water regularly and allow the coarse potting medium to dry out well afterwards.

Description and notes: This historic primary hybrid combines the vigorous growth of Cattleya loddigesii with the more elegant influence of Cattleya maxima. Pink to purple flowers and a contrasting lip are typical; seedlings may vary.
