Name: Cattleya maxima ‘Ecua 00157’ × Cattleya maxima ‘Ecua 00140’

Parents: Cattleya maxima ‘Ecua 00157’ × Cattleya maxima ‘Ecua 00140’

Location/growing conditions: Grow in very bright conditions, warm to intermediate temperatures, and with good air circulation. A coarse bark medium allows for rapid drying. Water regularly and fertilize lightly during growth; keep slightly drier after the shoots have matured. Approximately 18–29 °C is suitable.

Description and notes: This is an intraspecific cross between two selected clones of Cattleya maxima, not a separate grex. The seedlings produce elongated pseudobulbs and can bear several large lavender-pink flowers with a wavy, contrastingly marked lip. Flower shape, color intensity, and markings vary between plants.
