Description

Cattleya maxima f. coerulea 'Angelo' x 'Hector'

Name: Cattleya maxima f. coerulea ‘Angelo’ × ‘Hector’

Parents: Cattleya maxima f. coerulea ‘Angelo’ × Cattleya maxima f. coerulea ‘Hector’

Location/growing conditions: Grow in very bright conditions, warm to intermediate temperatures, and with good air movement. Coarse bark and rapid drainage are important. Water regularly and fertilize lightly during new growth; keep slightly drier once the growth has matured. Approximately 18–29 °C is suitable.

Description and notes: This intraspecific cross between two coerulea selections is not a separate grex. The seedlings can produce silvery lavender to bluish-purple flowers with more intense lip markings. Color, flower size, and shape vary between individual plants.
