Description

Cattleya Amanecer '4N'

Name: Cattleya Amanecer ‘4N’

Parents: Cattleya Sierra Blanca × Cattleya purpurata

Location/Growing Conditions: Grow in a very bright, airy location, protected from intense midday sun. Coarse bark, thorough watering during the growing season, and allowing the medium to dry out almost completely before watering again are beneficial. Temperatures of around 17–28 °C with a noticeable drop at night promote vigorous growth.

Description and Notes: This grex combines a large-flowered Cattleya line with Cattleya purpurata. The designation ‘4N’ indicates a tetraploid selected line in the trade; vigorous growth and substantial, broadly segmented flowers can be expected. Color and patterning may vary in seedlings.
