Description

Rhyncholaeliocattleya Ximena Vintimilla

Name: Rhyncholaeliocattleya Ximena Vintimilla

Etymology: The genus name Rhyncholaeliocattleya refers to a hybrid group of Rhyncholaelia, Laelia, and Cattleya. The grex name “Ximena Vintimilla” is a proprietary breeder name.

Origin / Breeding: Registered in 2024 by Ecuagenera as a cross between Cattleya Jevington × Rhyncholaeliocattleya Young Kong.

Description & Care: Robust Cattleya alliance hybrid with a compact to medium-sized growth habit and strong pseudobulbs. We grow it in a very bright location with good air movement. We allow the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings and water regularly during the growth period. We cultivate it at approximately 18–28 °C, with slightly cooler nights.
