Description

Rhyncholaeliocattleya Mishina Choice

Name: Rhyncholaeliocattleya Mishina Choice

Parents: Cattleya Donna Craig × Rhyncholaeliocattleya Mount Hood

Location/Cultural conditions: A bright to very bright spot with filtered light, good air circulation, and a coarse bark substrate is ideal. Water thoroughly and fertilize moderately during active growth; allow to almost dry out between waterings. We recommend approx. 18–28 °C, slightly cooler at night, and a more restrained water supply during the low-light winter months.

Description and notes: This grex belongs to the large-flowered Cattleya relatives. It develops strong, sympodial shoots with leathery leaves and can produce stately, round-shaped flowers with a clearly defined lip. Good light supply and a distinct day-night temperature difference support the maturation of the shoots and flower formation.
