Name: Brassocattleya Kay (‘N’ × ‘atropurpurea’)

Parents: Brassocattleya Fuchs Star × Cattleya purpurata

Location/Cultivation conditions: Cultivate in a very bright and airy spot in coarse, fast-draining bark. Water and fertilize lightly and regularly during the growth phase; allow the medium to dry out significantly before the next watering. A temperature range of approximately 18–29 °C with a slight drop at night is suitable.

Description and notes: This seedling line of the grex Brassocattleya Kay combines the influence of Brassocattleya Fuchs Star with Cattleya purpurata. Large, star-shaped to broader-segmented flowers with a contrasting, pink-violet marked lip are to be expected. The clone names of the parents indicate a deliberate selection within the grex; individual seedlings may vary.
