Description

Brassocattleya Felicia

Name: Brassocattleya Felicia

Parents: Brassocattleya Saint André × Cattleya dowiana

Location/growing conditions: Grow in very bright conditions, warm to moderate temperatures, and with good air circulation. Coarse orchid bark and rapid drainage protect the roots from waterlogging. Water thoroughly and fertilize lightly during growth; then allow to dry out almost completely. Suitable temperatures are approximately 18–29 °C.

Description and notes: The cross combines the star-shaped flower structure of the Brassocattleya line with the color and flower size of Cattleya dowiana. Large, firm-textured flowers and a striking lip can be expected; fragrance and exact coloration may vary between plants. Bright light supports firm shoots and a willingness to bloom.
