Name: Anoectochilus lylei ‘Brown’ (Hybrid)

Location/Growing conditions: We grow this jewel orchid in warm to intermediate conditions at around 18–26 °C, with high humidity, bright to moderately bright filtered light, and gentle air movement. We keep the fine, humus-rich, and airy substrate evenly slightly moist, but not waterlogged.

Description and notes: With this selection, the decorative foliage takes center stage. The dark brown-green leaves display the fine, high-contrast veining typical of jewel orchids and look particularly attractive in terrariums and display cases. We avoid too intense light, as it can bleach the leaf color and damage the delicate foliage.
