Name: Anoectochilus 49
Note on the name: “49” is a cultivar or selection number. In the absence of a confirmed species or hybrid identification, we deliberately use this designation for the plant.
Location/growing conditions: We grow Anoectochilus in warm to intermediate conditions at approximately 18–26°C, in shade to bright filtered light, with high humidity and gentle air circulation. We keep the fine, humus-rich, and airy substrate consistently lightly moist, avoiding both waterlogging and complete desiccation.
Description and notes: Anoectochilus are jewel orchids and are particularly prized for their velvety leaves, which are often marked with metallic patterns. As “49” is a selection number, we do not describe any unconfirmed species characteristics. Protected light supports intense leaf patterning.
